WHAT IS FAST CAT?

Fast CAT®, short for Coursing Ability Test, is an exhilarating and fast-paced AKC event where dogs showcase their natural speed and athleticism in a timed 100-yard dash. Unlike traditional lure coursing, Fast CAT is a solo run: dogs compete one at a time, chasing a lure in a straight line, allowing them to focus fully on the thrill of the chase. It’s a heart-pounding few seconds that seem to fly by, but in that brief moment, you’ll witness something extraordinary—your dog unleashed in every sense of the word. With ears pinned back, eyes locked on the target, and muscles firing in perfect sync, their raw power and joy are on full display. Whether your pup is a seasoned athlete or just in it for fun, Fast CAT offers an unforgettable experience and a chance to see your dog in their most primal, joyful element.
